A Matter of Life and Death

From ashes to ashes.
And dust to dust.
Like a heated balloon
In time, burst we must.

In the illusion called life,
We will cease to exist.
For sooner or later
By death we’ll be kissed.

How should we live then
With restraint or with mirth?
Choose as you like, friend
But take heed of rebirth.

For there is an adage
That always rings true
What you do to others
Will be done to you.
