Beautiful Black Dolls

Hello BLAC Foundation,

I have created these beautiful black dolls for girls and I want to share my story with you.
Between managing the hectic schedules of my 4 lovely children and writing my 3rd children’s book, I have completed a line of beautiful black dolls; they’re called Ikuzi Dolls. Ikuzi means to teach in Igbo.

Ikuzi Dolls are the most gorgeous black dolls and they come in different skin tones, hair textures and hairstyles; just like we do.

I decided to create these dolls because while growing up I never had a doll that looked like me and I wanted my daughters who have different complexions to each have a doll that was beautiful and looked like them. Be sure to check them out through the links below.

My dolls are available by pre-order on Kickstarter where I just launched a campaign to help fund the first production run. My campaign ends on Oct 12th. If I do not reach my funding goal these dolls will not be produced.

Would love it if you can help me get the word out in order to help make my dream come true. I know you receive many email messages from people, so I am taking a leap of faith with this.

I also do believe your foundation may be interested in our doll donation. For backers/supports at a certain level, the reward is a new doll donated to a NY/NJ area holiday toy drive. Please check out our campaign and review the backer reward levels. Thank you!
