Chad

Chad – with a population of over six million souls, Chad is a landlocked country in North Central Africa that borders on the Sahara desert. While the northern part of the country is populated by peoples of Arab, Tuareg, Toubou, and Fulani descent; South is home to the Sara, Konuri, and a host of other ethnic groups. French and Arabic are the official languages of the country, but there are more than fifty other local languages spoken. BLAC Foundation interest here does not focus on any particular group.
