Making and Serving Papeda in Nabire

The staple food of Papua is papeda. It is typically made from sago flour and is typically consumed with fish soup, fish, spicy sauce (sambal) and vegetables and was prepared for us in Nabire, Papua, Indonesia as follows:

1. Place sago flour in cold water. Squeeze in some lemon, and stir!.

2. Remove non-dissolved flour from pan!

3. Stir the saturated liquid constantly as you add boiling water!

4. Place on table and serve with thin soup,  fish and/or vegetables and spicy sauce!Then consume as in the end of the following video.
